how to love your candle

Lighting a candle is a small ritual - a pause, a reset, a moment for yourself. A little care helps your candle burn beautifully and safely, so you can enjoy every mood it creates

Trim your wick

Before lighting your candle, always trim your wick to 5mm with a pair of sharp scissors or a pair of candle wick scissors. This helps to stop any build up on your wicks and encourages your candle to perform to it’s best, providing the cleanest and most even burn possible.

Allow to pool

Burn for 3-4 hours at a time, ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the candle container before extinguishing, this will help to prevent a “tunnelling” effect and is especially important during the first burn.

Protect your surfaces

Always place and burn your candle on a level fire resistant surface. We advise on not burning your candle for any longer than the maximum recommended burn time.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE

When your candle gets to 1cm of wax left, it’s officially time to say goodbye.

CREATE A SAFE SPACE

We recommend burning your candle on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, pets and little hands.

Never leave a lit candle unattended, and always extinguish before leaving the room or going to sleep.

Safety is part of the ritual - it helps keep the moment peaceful.

LISTEN TO THE FLAME

Your candle will tell you what it needs.

If the flame feels too tall, flickers, or produces smoke, it’s simply asking for a quick trim. A calm flame creates the best scent throw and the cosiest atmosphere.

AFTERCARE & REUSE

Allow the wax to cool completely before moving your candle.

Once finished, jars can be gently cleaned and refused for plants, storage, or little everyday treasures - a small way to extend the life of the ritual.

CARE FOR THE MOOD

Candles don’t need perfection - just presence

Burn when it feels right. Extinguish when you’ve had enough.

Let scent support your mood, not control it.

TRIM. BURN. REPEAT
